Books for Kids
Where all characters are perfectly imperfect
Reviews for Nutty Neighbours
“Nutty Neighbours, a beautifully illustrated book, is a page turner for children. The rhyming aspect of this book encourages the reader to make predictions while they read. It characterizes the differences between the squirrel and the chipmunk but encourages problem solving to demonstrate the commonality between each. The emotions exhibited within this book will serve as a teaching tool for all young children."

"Nutty Neighbours is a captivating tale that rolls right off your tongue with its descriptive rhymes. Natasha Peterson reminds us that two very different characters can be friends once they find their similarities and work towards a common goal. Children can relate to the characters' fears and to the broader themes of diversity, teamwork and friendship. My kindergarten class thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend it to parents and teachers with children of any age."

"I fell in love with Natasha Peterson's first story, and I fell in love again when I met the new creatures in Nutty Neighbours. As a writer myself, it amazes me how Peterson can create a running theme with rhyme, and never lose the thread of the story. This book is a treasure, and will surely delight any child, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it brings a song to the heart of someone of any age. The illustrations are superb, and seem to be the perfect meld for the theme of the book. I highly recommend it. It would be a perfect addition to the library of any child, and those who are young at heart."
